The establishment of Ahafo Ano Premier Community Bank PLC was a gracious response by the Government of Ghana to the appeal for help to alleviate the suffering of farmers in Wioso and its surrounding villages — at a time when they had to travel over 48 kilometres, virtually on foot, to cash their Akuafo cheques at the nearest Ghana Commercial Bank in Bekwai.
The Bank was incorporated in Ghana on 20th January 1983, and was authorised to carry on the business of banking under Act 339 (1970), with effect from 9th December 1982.
Since then, the Bank has achieved unprecedented growth and is widely acclaimed as the leading Community Bank among all Rural and Community Banks across the country — a testament to the trust and loyalty of the communities we serve.
